In the distant future, the mankind learned to use supercomputers to improve their economy and even health. Following the engineers' requests to find a formula for better health, the computers calculated that contortion is very beneficial for the human body and developed the training programs that involved contortion therapy and could be used to grow a very healthy and fit child.

For these children the previously common problems such as headaches, tiredness and stress would no longer exist. Contortion moved from circuses to regular school gyms and having a beautiful, fit and flexible body was no longer uncommon.

Here we can see Maya who is a regular college student ^^ She's always specially loved frontbends because they're so warm and relaxing and the body feels very refreshed after these exercises and it feels so good you just want to jump around and dance ^-^

Your stories and descriptions are, in my opinion, the greatest part of your work. They provide depth and help keep contortion interesting. My hope is that they also are able to entice more people into the art form.

Anyway, I have to agree that there is something relaxing about frontbending. Where backbending is akin to pivoting the body away from itself, frontbending is more in line with folding the body into itself, which allows heat to circulate in a more spherical manner. The leftmost pose really affirms that.

Now that's a talent.
She can sit on herself.
I bet she could also stand on her head.
That's an idea for an alice in wonderland character.

Oh, that pose would be too easy for Maya XD But it could make a very nice drawing with the Chesire Cat, laying on a tree branch with his feet on top of his head X3

I seriously can't believe that the pose on the right is possible. Is it??
However... nice job, I find it quite scary, but I love her hair, face and those soft colors :)

I'm very glad you liked this character! :) I think the pose on the right is possible but it's not drawn very well here. I've seen contortionists who could twist the body so the shoulders turn whole 180 degress around while the hips stay in the same position, but the body would be twisted a bit differently, the twist is distributed more equally along the whole torso and not just the waist.

Thank you a lot for your explaining. I've never been interested into such things, so it's hard for me to recognize possible things. :) I just wonder, would you have something like a photo of someone doing such pose? I understand that in some way it's possible, but I can't imagine it. :C

I've seen it in some photos and videos and could feel how the body should move the right way, though it's not so easy to draw... I don't think I'd find those photos or videos at the moment, I just saw them in the recent years..
