"1939. My Grandfather training me for an acrobatic show. Our family was poor and we only survived on the little money the local circus gave my Grandfather for my performances.
Grandfather Eugen loved to say that I have a golden spine and that every little improvement drives tens of new visitors to the circus, this way in a few years we would manage to move to the capital.
To make his dream of moving come true, he would push me beyond all human limits on a daily basis and I had to spend hours whimpering to the coarse cloth of his shirt while having my buttocks squeezed tight against my shoulders. I tried not to cry because if I cried or screamed he would stop all the training for a day, so I tried to get as much of the training as this body of mine could possibly bear -- as I was glad that my acrobatics could help save our family.

Contortion is best to practice when you're 8-14 years old, I practiced it a little when I was that age, it felt great. Sadly I didn't know much about proper exercises back then and I didn't have the chance to join any professional circus school, even after so many years we still don't have any circuses in my town D:
