Anyhow, archangels Gabriel and Michael at the gate to Heaven among the stars. Basically it's a gate to another dimension and only the souls of the deceased can see it. Astronaut Yuri Gagarin once "proved" that Heaven does not exist simply by flying above the clouds and finding nihil... well, people tend to make mistakes :3

:confused: And so why are they dressed like that? It's, well...new fashion :3 You know, probably the last time you've seen an angel, it was some Renaissance picture, so, well, a few centuries passed since then and shrouds are no more fashionable, specially among battle angels, since they really need something more practical for training.

:blush: Because I foresee the question about their packages...well, my train of thoughts that crossed that area was as follows: since most people paint demons with, well, private parts >.> and demons are former angels, so it's only logical that angels have them too, otherwise what would they do in Heaven for eternity, playing harps?

^^; I kinda still refuse to draw wings on angels/demons, of course because I can't draw them X33 but most of all because I'm not fond of wings and never was since the very beginning. But those angels, of course, can use wings when they need, though they're more like transparent magical wings that go out of the "tattoo" on their back (see Michael). Hope that works :3

:love: Anyway, I hope you will enjoy this work and don't take it seriously, of course I'm not dumb and I can perfectly tell top from bottom when it comes to religion, but when it comes to art it's more interesting to look at things from different angles, and everything God has created is wonderful anyway x3

:wow: By the way, just a sudden thought: why artists and writers always love to analyze Hell so much? But nobody ever writes anything about Heaven. But shouldn't heaven be more inspirational? Basically, little is known about Heaven... So it's the question whether you want to go to the place you know very well, where everything is dark and horrid, or you want to go to some unknown place where everything is hopefully great but nobody knows for sure what exactly... And nobody knows anything about Heaven except that there's a blond Jesus on the throne and a harem of beautiful angels. Maybe it's time for a little investigation :3

:star: Technical information: I basically painted this in Photoshop, separated to 22 transparent PNGs and then animated them in Anime Studio using bones. Overall it must have taken about 25-30 hours.

*thinks up random questions about package...*
Or maybe "backage" thats a killer thong-esque wedgie right there. The wings are a nicer touch actually. It does break the traditional "realistic wings" mold for something they could probably successfully walk through doors with XD

Ah okay joking aside... wow. I like the animation. It doesn't get in the way of your usual classy art style. Plus its bright. I love the hair and the swords... oh and the wings! very cool :D

wow *_*... that's so gorgeous. And anyone who has a problem with this religiously needs the fork pulled out their #*% lol. It's just beautiful and the animation is so lovely... *keeps staring at the flowing hair* gah, is it possible for you to fail at anything? I'm sure if you did like drawing wings, you'd do them splendidly ^^ (though I don't like drawing them myself, and they often distract from a picture or cover up things you wanna see!) :3

Great job on this, I like how dynamic the poses are, and the animation just adds a whole new level of dimension to it of course. =)
Your work is always beautiful and to a certain extent I think spiritual as well. I'm uncertain about Christian angels being portrayed as sexualized (though I have no problem with sexualization), as they often are, but I accept your thorough explanations as offered (although "it's sexy" would have sufficed ;p).

For the record, demons are not fallen angels, they are the lost souls of mortals by lore. Only Lucifer fell and is said to be the head of Hell. Angels are said to be androgynous or specifically without gender typically.

Movement only adds to the serenity of the piece. Amazing, as art, it truly is a dynamic and eye-catching concept. I feel the computer more and more trumping my humble traditional skills. :worry:

I recommend Neil Gaiman for a fascinating tale about heaven and you make a valid point there, I agree.

Heheh, yes, wings wouldn't work for this composition, at least not in my mind anyway ^^;
