Contortionist Alexey Goloborodko as the Cheshire Cat ^_^
This idea was based on the actual pose Alexey did during his contortion dance "Mowgli" back when he was about 13 years old. Having found his more recent pictures as I mentioned in my journal, I instantly wanted to draw another tribute to this wonderful performer! ^_^
In his usual contortion dance "Delusion" (you can watch it on youtube) he always had to keep that serious expression which was very good for that particular dance but it was also interesting to imagine a new dance where he'd smile a lot (like he did at the end of that video) - and then I thought of the Cheshire Cat setting because that character is quite famous for being totally mad and smiling a lot! ^__^
You're welcome, indeed I have only one question...What tablet model do you recommend to be bought? Or you are just like me, use to use the famous mouse to paint!?(acctually I've read somethings in your main tutorial, because I must confess that I use it a lot when I try to paint something directly on Pc, even the "color pallet" that I like so much, and I have a tablet, genius model, and I hate it because it hurts a little bit my hand - I make soft moves with my hand to draw and the tablet I have demands from me to much effort...the pressure system isn't ok at all...). So..I'm intend to buy another one, smoother and more sensible...

Well, puting my monsters out and showing my new work...
I use both the mouse (Logitech MX518) and the tablet (Wacom Intuos3) for drawing. Drawing with just the mouse hurts the wrist, while drawing with just the pen hurts the hand, so I think it's a good idea to switch between them - the tablet is good for drawing small details faster, while the lazer mouse is a lot more precise, so it's good for drawing straight lines and more important details such as contours.
Also you have to take 10-15 minute breaks after drawing for 30-40 minutes, otherwise the wrist problems will become permanent in the future if you draw non-stop for 2-3 hours or if your breaks are too short, not allowing the muscles to fully relax. Personally I use this program to remind myself to take breaks: [link]
